Be ready to provide your name, a call-back phone number, pick-up address, destination address, and desired pick-up time.
You will tell the Phone Answerer what accommodations you want. Please feel free to ask questions.
Let the Phone Answerer know if you require a ramp and/or tie-downs for mobility equipment.
Union Cab appreciates advance notice, especially during early morning or late night hours.
There are no disability, age, income or other eligibility requirements that limit ridership.
Individual fares are not subsidized. You will pay the retail price for a taxi ride.
Union Cab accepts cash, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express, and Union Cab prepaid coupons.
Union Cab prepaid coupons are available in $20.00 booklets from Union Cab’s business office, which can be reached by phone at (608) 242-2010. Seniors and people with disabilities receive a 10% discount on Union Cab coupon booklets.
Union Cab drivers do not accept personal, business, or third party checks.

Wait times depend on the time of day and day of the week. You can ask about wait times when you order your ride.
This is not a shared ride service. Union Cab provides exclusive rides for individuals and private groups (e.g., you plus a caregiver, companion, family member, etc).
Union Cab welcomes your service animal. By law, Union Cab does not charge for transporting your service animal.
Please tell the Phone Answerer and driver about your preferred boarding location.
Drivers can offer assistance to enter or exit the vehicle, and drivers help passengers secure mobility devices. Please let the driver know what assistance you need or would like.
Lost and found items can be picked up at Union Cab.
DCATS uses accessible four-door minivans equipped with a rear ramp and motorized securements for wheelchairs (Q’STRAINT electrical retractors).
Not everyone with a disability needs an accessible van. Union Cab offers sedans that can transport smaller mobility devices and provide accommodations.
You can talk with the Phone Answerer about accommodations for either type of vehicle.
Please discuss accommodations and personal support with the Phone Answerer when you order the ride.
All Union Cab drivers are trained in passenger assistance, safety, and sensitivity, as well as defensive driving.
All Union Cab drivers pass a driver background check.
